Sean tries to kidnap Sasha, but Chris lunge at him in defence, saving the others and Sean falls unconscious. Chris was shocked at what he has done, not knowning if he had killed Sean or not. Sid supports Dex when he was involved a serious car accident, leaving him disabled. Sid starts a relationship with Dex's psychiatrist, Lisa Flemming but later finds out from Dex that she's married.
She later visits Sid and whilst he comforts her, she kisses him, but he pulls away and Indigo sees them. However, Spencer will decide to stop taking the pills in order to try and impress girlfriend Sasha , after fearing that he is boring. Jade Montgomery is the headmistress of Mangrove River High and when it burns down in an arson attack she arrives in Summer Bay to negotiate the merger between her school and Summer Bay High. When she learns that Bianca Scott will continue to serve as head of Summer Bay throughout the merger, Montgomery is put out and does not believe Bianca will be able to handle the students. She also criticises Bianca's husband, Heath Braxton , a former pupil of hers, and clearly discriminates against him. When she does the same to Mangrove River High students including Matt Page , Bianca disciplines her, and as a result Montgomery trashes her office, graffitis the word “slag” on her door, and frames Page for the crime.

Spencer is given a job in the bait shop and Maddy reveals that they are not brother and sister, but lovers. Spencer's brother Chris turns up in Summer Bay and becomes a third wheel in their relationship. Chris is Spencer's older brother and Spencer was delighted to see him. But found out that Chris came to the Bay to tear Spencer's relationship with Maddy and bring him home for their parents. But Spencer said that Summer Bay is his home and invites Chris to stay with him.
But their relationship came bitter when Maddy's new friend, Rosie Prichard became close to Spencer and Spencer's brother, Chris came to the Bay to sabotage their relationship. When Spencer moved on and started dating Maddy's best friend, Sasha Bezmel, Maddy became jealous. When Spencer saw Maddy and her new boyfriend, Josh Barrett having fun at the caravan park one night, Spencer mistakenly thought Josh is attacking Maddy and he came to her rescue. When Maddy had cancer, he organised a school fundraiser for teens with cancer to support Maddy.

Of his casting, Snow said "It is an absolute privilege to be on Home and Away. It truly is an iconic show and I am very proud to be a part of it." Snow later signed a contract to stay with the show for three-years. Snow called his character a "troubled kid", who does not where he fits in. The actor added "He is a bit confused about life and definitely ruffles people's feathers in the Bay." Andrew "Andy" Barrett, played by Tai Hara, made his first screen appearance on 28 August 2013. The character and Hara's casting was reported by Debbie Schipp from The Daily Telegraph on 3 August 2013.
That night, Evelyn sneak into the shed, where he was beatened up badly by Murray. Evelyn helps him to escape from the lodge, and try to bring him back to Summer Bay, but his injuries slows him and Evelyn down. Marilyn is upset that Sid is not tolerating Mitzy and her beliefs. Mitzy reveals that she has cancer, which makes Sid think that she told Marilyn about her prediction so she had someone else to experience dying with. Mitzy collapses and is rushed to hospital where Sid discovers she has an inoperable brain tumour and may only have weeks to live. Sid confronts her, convinced that she made up the prediction of Marilyn's death, leaving Mitzy furious.

Other drawings have been made as direct responses to the museum’s cabinets of curiosities. Also included are a number of ‘word maps’ which take their shape from the map of the borough of Rossendale. Some explore the poetry of local place names which say much about the physical appearance of the Rossendale Valley - its weather, its history, its wildlife and its industry past and present. Others are an extension of the compendium, a list in both English and Latin of some of the diversity of creatures to be found in the borough.
Evie attempts to call for help on Chris' phone, but the battery died, leaving the two stranded in the bush and they slept there for the night. Irene Roberts tells Sid that he could leave Sasha with her and have Sasha move in with her instead and Sid accepts Sasha to stay in the Bay. Sid convinces him to tell Indi, but he refuses as he doesn't want Indo to watch him die and Sid agree not to tell Indi. Sid tries to help Tamara Kingsley about her past when she suffers amnesia.
Spencer and Maddy come to the Summer Bay Caravan Park to ask Roo Stewart for caravan. At The Diner, Spencer reveals that he cannot pay for their meal, but promises to come back with the money. He later works off his debt and tells Roo that his parents are dead. Spencer and Maddy spend the night on a boat, before moving to the local high school. When they learn that Roo knows they are staying at the school, Spencer and Maddy initially disagree about contacting her. However, Maddy's health deteriorates and Spencer calls Roo.
Ian is Spencer's father, who came to Summer Bay to bring Spencer home and break Spencer and Maddy apart. But Spencer gave him a hug, saying that he's not leaving, he's staying and says goodbye to his dad. A year later, he and Chris got a call from their mum that Ian was involved of a car crash, is in hospital.
He was initially contracted to appear in about sixteen episodes and he began shooting his first scenes in September. He comes to Summer Bay to visit Spencer and convince him to return home and sort things out with his family. The character and casting was announced on 13 January 2013. Shortly after she relocated to Sydney in May 2012, Haddy won the role of Rosie. She is six years older than her character, who is sixteen upon her entrance. Haddy called her character "sweet, but awkward" and noted that she is a bit of "a loner".
Marilyn confronts Sid and he tells her that he is not in another relationship. During their date, Marilyn tells Sid that she believes she is going to die and Sid is supportive. In 2014, Spencer end things with Sasha and start to have feelings for Evie and Spencer's ex-girlfriend Maddy Osborne plays cupid and tries to put him and Evie together.
Spencer began to have his general behaviour and attacks Chris at the Caravan Park, and collapses. Spencer was taken to hospital and began lying to Sasha's father, Sid about his problems. One night at the caravan park, Spencer witness Maddy with her new boyfriend, Josh Barrett, thinking that he's attacking Maddy and rushes to rescue her, by attacking Josh, but the fight was break up by Winston. Phoebe Nicholson, played by Isabella Giovinazzo, made her first screen appearance on 26 November 2013. The character and casting was announced on 24 November 2013. After relocating to Sydney in mid-2013, Giovinazzo successfully auditioned for the role of Phoebe.
Jade Montgomery is a teacher, who was on-screen for "over a couple of months", as her story led into the season finale for 2013. Joshua "Josh" Barrett played by Jackson Gallagher, made his first screen appearance on 27 August 2013. The character and Gallagher's casting was reported by Debbie Schipp from The Daily Telegraph on 3 August 2013. Gallagher admitted he was starstruck when he filmed a scene with long term cast member Ray Meagher , adding "That was when it hit home." Josh was introduced to the show along with his brother Andy . On 14 May 2016, Kerry Harvey of Stuff.co.nz reported that Gallagher would be leaving Home and Away. His character will depart following his confession about shooting Charlotte King .
